Introduction to Annvix
Annvix is a free, secure, Linux-based operating system produced by the Annvix development team and Danen Consulting Services. The Annvix project aims to provide a secure, stable, and fast Linux distribution specifically tailored to servers that provide reliable services such as Email, Web, DNS, FTP, File sharing, and more.
As a result, Annvix provides a small install base with many popular packages. Originally forked from Mandrake Linux 9.2, Annvix has undergone extensive development to the point that it no longer resembles any other Linux distribution currently available. It is a "best of breed" operating that takes the wheat from many distributions and discards the chaff.
Annvix is available for x86 (pentium-class "i586" systems and higher), and x86_64 (AMD64, opteron, EM64T, etc.) systems.
